About The Rover

The Rover is a blog that explains AI and software, programming, tech business, games and culture from the background up.

Last updated

The Rover roves across fields, picks the stories people are talking about right now, and explains them from the background up so that newcomers can follow along. The original edition is written in Korean; this English edition carries translations of those posts.

What we cover

  • AI & Dev: AI models, coding agents and how engineering teams are changing the way they work
  • Programming: language and framework releases, tooling, and code you can use at work right away
  • Tech Business: Big Tech and startup earnings, funding and market moves
  • Games & Culture: behind-the-scenes game development and internet culture
  • Everyday Tech: practical IT tips and how-tos for everyday services

How we write

  1. Primary sources first. We check official docs, original posts and announcements, and list every source at the end of the post.
  2. Facts and interpretation stay separate. Sentences make clear what is confirmed and what is our own reading.
  3. The point comes first. Every post opens with five key points and ends with frequently asked questions.
  4. Mistakes get fixed. When we find an error, we correct the text and update the date.

Author names on The Rover are pen names for each beat. They are not real people; we use them so each beat keeps a consistent perspective and voice.

Who runs it

The Rover is run by an individual. We use AI tools to gather topics and write first drafts, and a person reviews each post before it is published. If you spot a mistake or have a topic to suggest, please let us know on the contact page.
